Hi Guys!
I believe this problem was mentioned here some time ago, but I didn't save
the messages that dealt with it. When I fired up my 770ED ThinkPad this
morning, I got a brief (a couple of seconds) shot of rather reddish light
from the backlight of the LCD display. Then zip.
I've hung an old VGA CRT on the laptop for a temporary 'get me by' display,
but obviously, that's not a satisfactory replacement for the long term. Of
course, the warranty on my 770ED has long since run out.
Can anybody tell me whether it's worth my money, time and effort to send the
unit to EZ-Serve for replacement of the backlight?
