I have a TP600X 2645-8PU. The specs from IBM state:
Intel . Mobile Pentium . III 500MHz 1 with 100MHz system bus or Pentium . III
650MHz 1, 41 with SpeedStep technology.
There is a driver update on the IBM web site for SpeedStep that shows how to tell what version you have by searching for a file, PRPCUI.DLL, and looking at its time stamp. A search on my TP600X does not find such a file. Should I use the update? If I already have SpeedStep, shouldn't the file be found?
Or, is the reference to SpeedStep only for the PIII 650MHz and not for my PIII 500MHz?
