Hi,
Anyone know whether IBM will cover dead pixels on a thinkpad, or is
this considered part of the normal "wear and tear"? I bought the
thinkpad second hand, but it is still under warranty. From my
experience with other providers of LCD products, most companies will
tell you that LCD screens always have "some" dead pixels, and this is
something not covered by the warranty. BTW, the thinkpad only has one
visible "dot" which remains black, and is only visible when you apply
certain backgrounds.. on others it isn't noticeable.
Also, anyone here have experience with IBM in Australia? The thinkpad
could do with a spruce up... the fan is a bit noisy, and occassionally
the speakers will crackle when I turn on the thinkpad. Will IBM fob me
off with these intermittent problems, or should I send the thinkpad in
for a service?
Thanks,
Joe.
