Why not partition it and use a big drive but partition it in to smaller
5.1 gig.. And I think it is 8gig that windows cant handle.. Don’t knw
about the firmware of the 380 but know that if there is a limit you just
need to make more then one partion

Subject: URGENT!! Kevin in Vancouver - TP 380D (2635-3AU) upgrade hard
drive maximum?
I was told by IBM "help desk" that the maximum allowable hard drive
I could use in my TP380D (2635-3AU) was a 5.1GB hard drive. Is this
true? I know the unit can only handle up to 80mb RAM for a maximum,
adding a 64mb module.
If this is the case, does anyone have a 5.1GB hard drive (IBM
Travelstar) available for sale? I need it before Christmas.
Many thanks all!
