While I agree with your thoughts, this is a bit much.

I credit about 80% of the "luck" I've had in not being infected by a virus
not to the fact that I use good anti-virus software, but that the majority
of viruses out there are programmed to target MS Outlook in one way or
another. So if you don't use Outlook (and I don't), you just save yourself
a world of hurt--and frequently.

BTW, Eudora has a full-working version available and its free--all you have
to put up with is a little ad in the corner, and its very unobtrusive. I
had actually paid for v.4, but v.5 came around and there was no upgrade
deal, so I just use the "sponsored" version (with the ads) which is still
fully functional as the fully paid version. To get it (and its *really*
good) just go to www.eudora.com
