Yu can do it yourself.. Its simple.. Just buy a static strap and make
sure its connected to a metalic spot on the laptop. Do a search online
about upgrading a laptop and there are bound to be places with a step by
step.. As someone posted pop the flat head screw that covers the ram and
look at how it is installed.. Should have to metal clips on either side
that pops into the indents on the ram board.. The hard drive will have a
plastic cover that is held on by another screw and has a slot that pops
the cover off sliding it out.. Then theres a plastic tab that will fold
out and you will pull it out.. Theres a bracket or thin metal shield
that covers the hard drive attached with I think 2 screws.. Take them
off and slide the drive out of the cover. And attach that to a new hard
drive.. In the same spot.. And slide it back in like the orig.. And pop
the cover back in..

Subject: Vancouver, Canada - Suggested Places to have new Hard Drive and
Ram installed in Thinkpad?
Anyone have any suggestions of a great place to have a new hard drive
and ram installed into my old Thinkpad 380D? I don't want to attempt it
myself for fear of screwing up and damaging the TP, hard drive, or RAM
module. Would love an economical solution also......finances limited.
Many thanks!
