Its not a matter of encouragement for work to switch I had no choice..
And in all honestly I have not encountered any trouble.. I get stupid
messages about allot of bougus virus but never anything to crash my
system.. Again I am not debating which is better.. Just relating what I
have encountered.. They do not allow us to use anything other then
outlook at work period. Not that I have a choice.. Also no other email
plateform allows me to use my pocket pc with it. PERIOD!. I have a mac I
have a linux box, I also have windows 98. its what I use. IMHO linux is
not for me as it does not offer support and a lack of hardware support
is just that lack of. I do not program. I am a user.. I know how to
build things and I know how to mess with things but I do not know
programing.. Again I cannot use anythig other then outlook at work.. And
well since I use it at work I use it at home also cause well I use my
person laptop for work and play.. As well as a work laptop.. The
libretto I have is strickly for gps/mp3 for the car.. So I have windows
95 left on it just runing mapping software and winamp.. I have been able
to port my email from outllok to eudora and the other way but I have
also seen it loose email.. Lucky I keep a back up.. Since my pocketpc
and outlook sync theres nothing more for me to use..

I just can't understand what you mean when you say
you haven't encountered any trouble with
outlook!!! If you are on ANY listserv, you must
be getting plenty of messages warning you about outlook-specific
viruses. That's time-consuming. If you are in the address book of ANY
outlook users, you must at least receive SOME virus-ridden messages.
That's time-consuming. I don't even USE outlook and it still causes
trouble!
We were encouraged to switch to it at work, but
the idea was eventually dropped and people use
a wide variety of clients now. Tech support gives
a very, very low priority to non-outlook problems,
and that may be good, because rumor has it that
they spend a LOT of time on outlook or exchange
related trouble.
