Sounds like you need "networking 101" for getting the software configged
on both systems, but as far as the hardware is concerned, you need a NIC
(network card) on each end. Best bet for the t'pad is one of the PCMCIA
cards. In addition to a NIC on the PC, you will need either a hub (or
switch) or if you never plan to expand beyond 2 networked machines, you
can get by with an RJ45 "crossover cable" (available at Radio Schlock, at
least here in the US).
