Hi guys well after along absence I'm back on the list and I've bought me
another ThinkPad for fun and excitement (man i gotta get out more..:) )
Looking to buy somemore too maybe a 770 or something a little faster
(cheap).
Well anyway i here's what i bought a 760cd (20 dollars couldn't turn it
down) last weekend in
Dallas not a bad setup i got the computer no drives,a li-ion battery
(unknown as to whether it works or not) nice clear clean screen not a
scratch on it good sound and a nice clean keyboard.
came with a 32 meg card in it, the case is in really good shape I've got it
up
and running now (I've got some parts around here). I've had a 755cx for
3 years now (still have it) and a Selecta-dock II and I'm needing some parts
and some info
on a 760 CD.
Does anyone have a CD ROM or a floppy drive for a 760 (cheap) I've been on
e-bay and the price
isn't bad just the shipping they want is stupid 15 to 20 dollars to ship a
drive I'll pay for the CD then pay almost as much as i would for the
shipping it as what i paid for the drive..
Also i would like the original restore CD's and manuals for 760cd if anyone
has one.
Now here's the weird stuff (isn't it always something with a ThinkPad) for
some reason it will NOT boot without turning it on with just the battery in
it if it's in the dock or on the ac adapter it will not boot.
It has to have just the battery in it (i took this one out of my 755 cx) or
nothing i have updated the bios and have all the latest drivers for it I'm
stumped any thoughts out there guys?
This battery that i got with it is a li-ion battery but you put in the
laptops either one and it doesn't show up when i hit the discharge button it
comes back and say no battery in the computer.
Well i guess that's all guys hope to hear back from you guys soon.
