Hello!

I am a current Thinkpad 760EL owner. Unfortunately, if
I can't resolve this problem, I will be a "former"
Thinkpad 760EL owner. :-(

I bought my 760EL off Ebay. (cringe) It came with a
1.44 floppy drive, a 810 mb hard drive, and no
operating system. (It had Win 95). It boots to the C:/
prompt. I then purchased a new 8X CD Rom, a 2.1 GB
Hard drive and a new battery. I also have a Win 98 CD.
I then found out that I needed a boot disk to install
the CD, but when I tried using one it kept on giving
me Data error reading drive A. Is this a problem with
my hard drive, floppy/cdrom connection or something
more devious and technical? Any suggestions, other
than throwing it out? :-) I now know why they named it
an EL, cuz I'm ready to throw it the 'EL out! haha I
made a funny.

Anyways, what's my next step?
