Hit F1 at boot time to bring up the test routine.

There is an external adapter for this model. Try to find someone
who has a 755 (or 760) and swap either internally or with the
external adapter. It may be the drive itself or the connector
inside the machine. In the latter case it might work with the
external adapter.
