Thinkpad 380D - Transferring smaller hard drive to larger hard drive?

I need to transfer my Thinkpad 380D 2 GB factory hard drive info onto my new
5.1 GB hard drive that is yet to be installed. Can the person installing it
do it for me? And should I take it to an IBM store to have this done with
their labour?
