Hi everyone,
I just found this list and I hope someone can provide me with some info
about my problem.
An old 560 servers as a FTP server here. Had the original drive in when
I installed FreeBSd and the FTP server. Everything has worked fine for
quite some time. THough I started to run out of disk space:-)
So I ordered a new 20Gb HD to solve that. Though the problem is that it
some how locks my thinkpad. After have mounted the HD in the laptop, I
turn on the power, see teh IBM and ThinkPad Logo. Hear the beep but then
nothing else happens.
I pressed F1 and entered the config and tested the drive, no problems
reported. Tried to connect it with an adapter to my PC, worked just fine
and I formatted it without any problems. So hte HD seems to be ok!
So what is wrong? Is it to large to work with the TP560? Another idea
was that it consumes to much power? Any help is very welcome!
