[365X] Doesn't run on battery

Hello!

I have a problem with my TP 365X. It suddenly stopped working on a battery
after full discharge. I put another battery that was charged and it didn't
work. I charged the battery in external charger and it didn't work. It
works, however, perfectly using the AC adapter. When it's plugged in, the
battery light is on, but the battery is _not_ charged (I checked using an
electronic meter that the AC adapter draws no current, whereas it should
drwa something below 2A to charge the battery). What else is strange, that
when the computer has the battery put in but no AC power, it cannot be
turned on by using the power switch; however it somehow "remembers" that I
wanted to switch it on because when I put the AC plug in, it instantly
goes on. This all is rather strange to me, as I didn't do anything special
with the computer as it happened. Any help wpuld be appreciated. I tried
looking the IBM site but they seem to not have a 365X Hardware Maintenance
Manual available for download.
