[A21p] Power-on password on reboot?

My A21p has recently started doing something peculiar: It prompts me for the
power-on password when I reboot it, not just when first powering up. It
never used to do this, and my ThinkPad 600 has never done this either.

I'm running Windows XP on it, but when I first installed XP a few months ago
the reboot was normal--no password prompt. It's just been the last few weeks
that it's been giving the password prompt. I don't know exactly when the
problem developed, since I reboot so rarely.

I wonder if anyone else has seen this happen or has any insight about it.
