I have W2K SP2 running on a 600X and - somewhat to my surprise, I'll
admit - I can't say it has been anything other than reliable.

You now have discovered for yourself why people back up their data to
another medium or system.

Partition Magic should be able to convert the file system to FAT so you
can use the usual tools.

I don't think you are supposed to install them all and certainly not all
at the same time. If you install one patch at a time, make sure that you
can go back to where you were if it breaks something ....

They are written very hastily and released as quickly as possible to
field-testers like yourself.
Rescue your files, back them up and do a clean install of W2K. I suspect
most of the patches you installed were for Outlook: make your life
simpler and use something else?
