I installed it and although it complained at first about the drive not
being an IBM, it did run the full test suite and let me enable
temperature alarms and scheduled test runs, which I am quite looking
forward to.

EZ-GIG reports 32005 MB and 15 heads. Definitely not the same as the
four platter 48 GB drive.
