If you have a POP set on your system for startup, then being prompted for the
POP on a reboot is the correct operation of the system.

If you have to logon to your W2K or XP desktop and you've set a PW on wakeup
from suspend on W2K or XP, then you'll also get a PW prompt on a reboot,
although it would be the OS PW if there's no POP set.

If this is _not_ the case, then something is wrong on your system. Otherwise it
would be a simple matter to bypass your security by rebooting the machine!

Somebody tell me if I'm off base here! I have to admit to a bit of laziness in
that my desktops have no passwords set and my W2K installs default to my
personal desktop through Powertoys, ergo no PW necessary.

My Thinkpads have POPs and SPs set. Reboots require the POP.

Regards,

James
