Please pardon my ignorance on this but this is one
time that I haven't "been there, done that".
I almost always have at least one thinkpad fired up on
my little lan.
Are you saying that by using a smartmedia card in a pcmcia
adapter I could insert the adapter into a live system, download
files to it, and then insert that card into another "hot" system
to transfer those files.
If so do you know any things to look for (or lookout for)
when buying the parts.
