if you have another thinkpad with a 2nd HDD adapter or another computer with
a CD and the ability to put the X20 HDD on it, do it and copy the w2k CAB
files to the HDD, then also make the drive bootable with smartdrv.exe and
associated files, then boot to DOS and go to the wxp directory and execute
winnt.exe which will load w2k..

this convoluted process is the only way i can think of for you to get an OS
on that X20.. :-)

if you have more misc. hardware there, let me know..
