I found a couple of these ("Sun ESD Kit"). Seems to consist of a
sheet of pink bubble-wrap with a smooth surface and a 3M
"Disposable Grounding Wrist Strap". As I recall, the parts were
installed by a guy who had his own fleece grounding strap with an
alligator clip on the end (vs. these adhesive ones).
I know I should probably be using these for things like handling
SIMMs but I never have and don't know anyone who does (except the
Sun ones from 10 years ago). But I know a lot of you guys do much
more complex stuff than I do.
So two questions:
(1) Are these things actually of any use now;
(2) Anyone want one or two?
