Subject: A few more questions
Hello,
I want to thank all of you who had suggestions for my 2621-441 I-1400 that
is stuck in standby mode. It is still stuck, but I have a few thoughts that
I would appreciate some feedback on. It still shows an active cd when
plugged in.
I had the latest bios, took the 2nd partition off the drive (almost 6 gig
total size drive) and installed win2k using ntfs. Think that may be part
of the standby problem.
Had downloaded all of the updated win2k drivers from ibm website -
installed them, including the dvd/cd drivers which had to be installed first
from my recovery cd's and then updated. I MAY have set the resolution too
high for the video (I'm not certain and there is no way to check but I think
that I did). Could this be causing the problem?
If either of these things sound plausible, is there any fix for it?
Thanks.
Claire
