Hello,

Thanks to all of you for your responses so far.

The BIOS is the latest version, yes. I would *hope* that these parts
are not defective! The seller on Ebay was reputable.

Deanna, I went to the IBM website to find that article, but it was
"not found." I'm looking now for it somewhere else, but haven't been
successful so far.

I'll keep trying to get this to work, though.
Thanks so far for everyone's help. If anyone has further thoughts on
this, I'd be most greatful to hear it.
