I agree, ebay is great, and I've only had three bad experiences so far (out
of maybe 50)-- all of which were resolved without a problem. I use ebay all
the time, but I was just reflecting on the fact that even used batteries for
the 600 run at least $50 to $60 - I just feel trying to save the $50 isn't
worth the time and effort. I think batteries for other Thinkpad models are
available at a much lower cost on ebay, and hence make the risk worthwhile.
For example, a 560 series battery can be had for $30, nominally.
Trust me, I am a paragon of patience when it comes to dealing with people on
ebay, buyers and sellers. =)
