The battery is warranted for only one year (vs 3 years for Thinkpad 600E)
I paid about US$120 for 600E battery NEW from IBM here last week. I used
the old one for two years and got my money's worth from it.
Certain s/n batteries were replaced regardless of age; I don't have
the # handy, should be in the archives about 6 weeks ago.
