You didn't say whether you've added any memory to this unit or not. If you have,
try going back to the original 64MB that shipped with it and see if you still
have problems. Memory is frequently the cause of problems on newer Thinkpads.
Next item I'd check would be the HD. Try running Disk Defragmenter on _two_
successive reboots.
Next thing I'd try if the problems persisted would be to boot into W2K Control
Panel and re-install, sorry.
