FWIW, my A21m ran perfect with Windows 2000. Updated bios, all current IBM
device drivers and IBM power mgmt driver. Correct setting in bios to for
speedstep, etc. Gave me flawless service. Make sure all your device drivers
available from IBM are installed. I don't ever use MS device drivers that
are recommended by Windows Update.

I don't agree that Thinkpads crash with W2000 or XP. I've used both
operating systems extensively on several Thinkpads; T20, T21, A21m, A21p,
600E. If the setup is right, the operation can't be beat.
