They're all _supposed_ to be, but whether or not it will work in a specific
machine is at times a gamble. FWIW, the Kingston KVR133X64SC3 256MB PC133 sticks
work in my T21, but not in my 600X. They're functionally the same machine built
on the same Intel 440BX chipset, so the problem must be that the onboard 100Mhz
memory in the 600X won't play nice with PC133 sticks. (Of course, the major
problem with PC133 memory is when someone tries to put it in their 66MHz FSB
machine.)

A 133MHz stick from a quality manufacturer (Viking, Crucial, Kingston, etc.)
should work without any problems in your A22p. Beware of cheap, generic,
hi-density RAM as, in general, Thinkpads aren't happy with them. I had some
generic 256MB sticks that wouldn't work in my 600X or T21 because of the density
problem.

I know everyone is concerned with upwards compatibility WRT memory in the hope
that when they get their A31p or X/T23 they can re-use their 133MHz sticks. But
as the older machines can only use 256MB sticks while the new ones can use
512MB, I know that when I finally get my hands on a T23 I'll have the dog on a
street corner with a tin cup in order to raise the money for the 512MB sticks!
;-)

Regards,

James
