While it was cool to have a selectabase 770 and a PC card enabler, it's even
better to have a Dock3 to slap it onto, even though it makes it the giant
laptop computer of the Century.
Before I hung my Plextor 8x CD-RW drive off of the dock3's scsi port, I had an
adaptec 1460C card that I was using. And the absolute best I could feed it at
was maybe 4x on a good day. I think I spent most of my write time at 2x and
was just happy I didn't have to "simulate" it first.
Tried burning a CDR after I hung it together ... and it worked ok at 8x speed!
Woo hoo!
Definitely worth the $30 for the Dock3!
