I called IBM and the salesman said "yep, maximum resolution on external
display is indeed 1024x768 sir; anything else I can help you with?" I
said, wait a minute... can I talk to a tech please? The tech said that
all of the specs on the IBM site are indeed wrong; that the new graphics
system supports up to 2048x1536 at full color... so there you go
