On a TP600E, W98SE, I've found the Microsoft Intellimouse drivers
seem to work with every optical mouse I've tried, USB and PS/2.
But I don't own a Logitech to try. I've had success with
WiseTech and Belkin in addition to MS mice. The Belkin is smaller --
thus more portable and, like the MS mouse, it is both PS/2 and USB,
Took it on a recent 2600-mile road trip through numerous national parks
in the (US) Southwest -- hot, dusty, dry, smokey and primitive.
