I believe Michael is right, there is no internal mic on the A22. When
plugging in an external mic, make sure the correct input is selected in
Recording properties (on the Play Control/Sound Control Panel). Sounds
stupid, but it never hurts to double check. =) What kind of external mic are
you plugging in? If the impedance isn't within range or if it draws too much
power it may not work (ie, I don't think the large "pro"-style microphones
will work)... YMMV, in case I'm saying something stupid.
