Hi All,

I think it was my question that sparked the debate awhile back. Effectively
my A22P doesn't have a built-in mike, in spite of the hole being there under
my left palm.

After following the suggested steps for verifying the recording sound level,
make sure that your Adreas mike uses the reversing attachment (Thanx Birge,
for sending me to the great sites on mikes). It turns out that the + and
the - are reversed on TP's (thanx IBM!)

The A22 series doesn't have an internal mic, does it? The A21 had the
internal mic, but they left it out of the A22--even though they used the
same case with a mic opening. That's what I remember from a discussion here
on the list, and IBM's TABOOK.PDF file confirms it.

So one suggestion would be to try a different external mic, if you've only
tried one so far.
