I don't know about a 701c but I quite regularly use 20G and larger
HDs, in my TPs that have the 8.2G limit.
The trick is to format and partition them (using the 2.5/3.5 adapter) in
a machine that
dos not have the 8.2G limit.
Win98SE, 2K, and recent Linux distros have no problems using the whole
drive.
