This sounds interesting. Just prior to realizing that my 770z "would,
could did", replace my desktop, I had purchased a Matrox duel head 32mb
video card to install on my desktop. Only problem I guess is I think it
is AGP interface. Would this work in my Selecta-dock and 770z? (with
external monitors of course)

Yes, it is. Find a 16MB Voodoo 3 2000 card on ebay, it will run like a
champ! (Only on an external monitor, of course)
