well, first, don't mention the non-ibm supported OS..
but if the memory is not the culprit, then something more sinister must be
at work here..
just call it in and get a case #..
you can speed things up by using an appropriate box and shipping it out
monday..
at lease 2 inches of foam around the thinkpad..
save a day of down time..
they will give you the ship to address and an account number to use when
shipping it out..
