Thanks Bruce. Blew me away. Never heard of a plug and play BIOS
before. It said I cannot change the I/O address range from
the existing 03BCh-03BFh to a base address of 0378h.
As required by BackPack.

Does this mean I cannot use the BackPack CD RW with the parallel
port? I have a double high modem/ethernet card in the PCMI slot
and I spent a week trying to get a Iomega Predator USB CD RW
working with the USB port. No luck on that either. I had to take
it back and get my money back.

What CD RW drive does work with this machine if any?

What is going on with this machine? Did I buy a turkey?
