Got the above link in e-mail since I've been restocking my family
with 701 bits as part of my "IT" duties. The price is insane, but I
didn't know the 701 was in "Goldeneye."

Me and my brother on the phone this morning, after he deleted 3
.vxd files in the Windows system directory because "he didn't need
them." He has yet to explain how he determined this. Then again, he
won't admit that he does need them, though I got him to concede that
Windows disagrees, since it stopped booting afterward he removed them.
Me: "Are you left-clicking or right-clicking?"
Younger Brother: "I don't know about *you*, but*I* know left from
right!"
Me: "So why is it every time I say left-click something, you
describe *exactly* what happens if you had right clicked?"
YB: "...just shut up, I get it now!"

Later, after Windows is up and running:
Me: "Now, you want me to walk you through installing Office 97
again?"
YB: "Nope, a friend of mine has Windows 98, I'm going to borrow his
CD."
Me: "...and this is relevant because?"
YB: "I'm going to use the included version of Office on the CD!
It's newer, dummy. 98, get it?"
Me: "Windows 98 doesn't come with Office on the CD, junior."
YB: "Well at school all of the computers have Windows *and*
Office."

        Still later:
"Now I can't find my files."
        "What folder are you using?"
        "I can't find that either."
"...do me a favor - right click "My Computer," select "Properties"
and read the "Registered To" part to me."
        "This belongs to...[our sister's name.]"
"That's not your laptop - you picked up someone else's."

Only reason I'm not still on the phone? The batteries for both my
cordless phones *and* my cell phone are dead. Have a nice weekend,
folks.
