had a 240 with the celeron 300mhz cpu..
tried W2k first and it ran fine..
very very well, in fact..
it was loaded with memory..

then i loaded Wxp and it also ran very well..
only one "very"..
W2k is, i think, the better OS for the 240..
and the subsequent 240X that i put that HDD into after selling the 240..
