Hi All,

I have purchased a 560 from ebay. Indications are that it is a model 2640
E0C. It is due to arrive today. Assuming it works and that the model info
is correct (I haven't seen it yet so I can't be sure) how much memory can I
put in it. It is supposed to max out at 40 meg according to IBM. I seem
to remember from somewhere that you can put one 64 meg stick in this unit
now as the limitation from IBM was due to only having available a 32 meg
stick when the notebook was made. Is this true? Are there any other
little gottcha's with this gear that I should know about?

By the way. I paid $ 56.00 for this thinkpad. I want to make it a project
machine. I have a 8gig drive (thanks Bill Morrow) from a older project 701
that I sold to a list member ready to install upon arrival. It will run
98lite and a dual boot of linux. Should be fun. What should I
know? Thanks for any suggestions. Cheers.
