Hello, new to the list, but would appreciate any help or assistance.
1. Thinkpad 560x: win98SE, 64mb, 2.1g
2. Was using a completely discharged battery for a little while. The
battery light was constantly blinking orange.
3. Purchased a new battery on the internet.
4. Inserted the new battery, plug in the AC adapter. The battery light
turn solid orange for 5-10 minutes, then blinks orange again.
5. The battery meter sometimes shows 1% charge, but no more.
6. Attempted to reupdate the BIOS (no success); used the TP701
"resetbat.exe" program (no success); relinstalled my OS (no success).
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
