first, be sure it is the SOCKET and not a broken solder joint..
if it IS a busted socket, it'll be tough to find a part..
more likely you'll find a parts machine..

what happens is the springs in the plug get spread out from over flexing
which generates heat which weakens the spring contacts which gives MORE heat
which.. etc., ad inf...
ending up with a very bad connection..
either or both might be your problem..
