the 600E will support two 256meg parts..
the BIOS needs to be up to date..
IBM's max RAM was when there were not 256meg parts available..

I saw this message (below) recently on the list. It made me think. IBM says the MAX RAM for a 600E is "288MB". Is is true that I can put 2 256MB 144-pin SODIMM sticks in my 600E (2645-4BU)?
