No, they aren't. I found out the hard way.

The 701CS housing
(Blue Star) 73G7600 0 $45.00 DISPLAY CVR ASM 701 PLA IBM
has its top left mounting screw about 1 cm below the corner.
The nut-embedded-in-plastic which this mounts upon prevents the
701C TFT display from lying flat against the back of the
housing (10H4140). The 701C housings have their top left
mounting screw right in the corner.

Aargh.
