Greetings, Thinkpad Users,
I've been sending in messages abou the TP600 I'm putting together,
and various problems I've been having.
I'd had the problem of a 128 stick of RAM not being recognized.
I'd had these red lines all down one side of the LCD from pressure
on the back of the screen.
This evening I opened up the case and reseated the keyboard, lcd,
and speaker cables. All the above problems seem to have disappeared
now. RAM recognized, clear LCD.
Only now I've run into the problem that the computer doesn't seem
to see the hard drive at all when I put it in there. It's a 10 gig
drive... this isn't too large for this 2645-A1u 266MHZ is it? This
drive boots up just fine when I connect it to my desktop with an
adapter. I selected the Hard Disk 1 option as first and only startup
device in Easy Setup.
I'd greatly appreciate any help with this, as this is the last
obstacle to being able to use my 600.
