you'll need to get a version of DOS..
DR DOS should be similar to MS DOS or PC DOS..
boot with a DOS boot diskette in the floppy and run FDISK then FORMAT C: /S
then try booting from the CD drive.. :-)
gee, sounds like fun..
and i STILL have floppys with PC Tools and so forth..
i bet it'll just FLY..
if this works, next thing to try is a one gig CF card..

Well, I assume you could also do this without a floppy in the usual way, by
using a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter (etc). I suspect that formatting through the
pcmcia adapter is somehow not the same as doing it as a hard-wired IDE
drive. Also, the DOS boot record that W95 lays down is possiby not going to
be compatible with earlier DOS system files. You should ideally do all the
formatting and SYSing using the exact OS version you want on the machine.

I always had better luck with DOS 6.0 than with DOS 5.0 on nonstandard
equipment; I haven't used DR-DOS since around version 2, don't know how 5.0
works.
