I just bought a very nice 600X that came with a PCCard modem in one of the
PCcard slots, and has a cover plate over the built-in modem port. I
sometimes use a wireless network PCcard with an antenna that prevents the
Xjack on the supplied PC Card modem from working. Is there a way to enable
the internal modem and remove the port cover from the modem port? Or would
the group advise me not to do that and get a different PCcard modem that
doesn't use an Xjack??
