that 10gig should run in the 600..
i believe that all 600 series are new enough ot support all current HDD's..
but be sure that the bios is up to date..
this is essential..

also, FWIW, there is a life to the socket inside the 600 for the HDD..
it COULD be old and a bit worn..
the pins on HDD's tend to vary slightly in size..
i.e. several years ago when i also sold toshiba HDD's, the pins on those
drives were slightly larger and thus while thos drives made good contact,
subsequent travelstar drives would not make good contact..

so it IS possible the HDD socket might be either worn or damaged or even
dirty..
