I bought a 390E "parts" machine and have managed to fix most of its
problems but one big one still remains.
The system says that it doesn't have a hard drive.
i.e. "no fixed disks present"
Same thing under Linux setup etc.
Could I be missing something or does this need a system board
replacement?
I've tried more than one HD.
The other problem is that it won't boot from either the cdrom drive or
the CF pcmcia card.
I'm new to this ( somewhat strange) style of bios setup but can set and
replace
the '!' mark in front of the cd and cf selections under the boot menu.
This doesn't seem to have any effect at all.
It reads the CD fine when booted up under the floppy.
Also does anyone on the list have an extra right side lcd latch plastic
pin for a 390XD 15 inch?
Many thanks,
