Power adapter makes annoying sound

Hi,

I just replaced the power adapter of my iSeries 1200 Thinkpad because it had a
loose connection. Now, albeit the new power adapter (02K67549) works fine, it
emits a very high frequency (maybe ~18KHz) sound (in addition to a low
frequency sound) that is very annoying. Is there any way to fix this problem
or do I have to buy yet another adapter?

IBM seems to have real problems with the qualitity of these adapters. Are
there any third party adapters available?
